Easy. The Nait 50.
Iād chose the one that has printed circuit boards with metallic holes. 100%. If it can be rack mounted then take my money!
Wonderfully musical, among the best bookshelf speakers Iāve heard for (in this context) reasonable money.
Speaking of the ā¦problematicā¦ Naim website, behold the surprise NSC 333!
NSC 333 | Naim Audio
A Frankenstein product derived from NSC222 text and NSS333 photos
I wonder who is editing the websiteā¦ Itās on the verge of ridiculousā¦
Gosh, yes, that is pretty poor really.
In general, Naimās website has become āsmearedā and less rich in technical detail, I would say.
Unfortunately
āCombine it with the NAP 250 power amplifier for an exceptional assembly: just add loudspeakersā
Just add loudspeakers? Iām sure this is not copy made in UK.
Not made in Salisbury anyway. It will be interesting to see how long it takes them to take it down or at least make it āprivateā.
Marketing is probably managed out of Slovenia nowā¦ā¦
Thatās a ādeadā page for a non-existent product (doubtless used as template of some sort by whoever does the website) that should obviously not be accessible via the products list on the website - Iāve requested it be removed.
Have anyone at Naim read the web pages and feel satisfied with them?
This is from 350 intro. It CAN be used with other NAP350? The copy writer think it can be used as a single unit? Well it technically can but itās sold in pairs and itās rather boring listen to one speaker.
Silent cooling system is key USP?
The superior mono power amplifier
A benchmark amplifier, the NAP 350 offers precise musical performance and plenty of power and can be linked to a large number of high-fidelity loudspeakers. It can be used with other NAP 350. Thanks to its silent cooling system, it is easy to install in your chosen environment with no sound disruption.
thanks especially to its balanced XLR input which facilitates connections and can be combined with one or more amplifiers.
I have no idea what they want to explain here? The XLR come from a pre-amp and make it easier to connect with ANY pre-amp these days but thatās not what it says.
That is really embarrassing isnāt it. You can use a mono amp with another mono amp.
Sorry to do this Mike, Slovakia is where Naimās additional manufacturing takes place.
Slovenia is a different country. Iāve just returned from a delightful holiday there, itās a stunningly beautiful (and efficient) country, everyone we met spoke very very good English, certainly much better than my Slovenian which extended to āgood dayā, āthank youā, āpleaseā, and ābye/goodbyeā. And ābeerā. Slovenia is also home to Kuzma turntables. If itās defence was necessary.
Whilst I share the concerns about the quality of writing backing Naimās recent releases, I donāt think itās helpful to characterise the concerns as a result of where they text might originate from. Iād rather suggest that as Naim partially created this forum (or itās predecessor) as an informal way for them to see feedback on their products (IIUC), that we draw their attention to the problems/concerns and let whoever from Naim that needs to know their process for releasing public facing text needs a bit of a look at.
@Richard.Dane - if you agree (or even if you donāt!) that the wording highlighted above seems a little poor in the context of the quality of the engineering of the products themselves, do you think it appropriate to draw it directly to the attention of anyone at Naim?
I alerted someone at Naim a few weeks back. I donāt know which agency handles the website these days. Back in my day it was Malcolm and Philippa Steward and a quick phone call or email would usually see changes or amendments made that dayā¦
Richard, itās all very peculiar. The website surely has to be one of the first places prospective customers would look for factual information on the products. The fact youāve told them, and others have told them, yet they do nothing is strange indeed. Itās not just writing style, which is always subjective, itās that there are errors and some of the stuff just doesnāt make sense. The website really is a bit pathetic.
Back in the day we could write to the MD and various others and know things would be sorted. These days we donāt know who is in charge, who looks after the website, and in many places it seems that people canāt even buy the equipment. Naim can make the best equipment in the world but unless the infrastructure is in place itās all pointless. Surely they are not stupid and know this. So why donāt they fix it?
No apologies required, I was being factious, which seems appropriate given the woeful state of the web site.
A lot of interesting regression from the topic, while we are waiting for actual news about the 300 series in the wilde.
Claus
Could the writer of the website copy be French and is writing in a second language? Could said writer have no knowledge of Naimās history or products? It is really amateur hour, and so much trouble does seem to have been made to at least have tasteful photography.
The rumor says that you should be able to use a 350 monoamp together with another 350 monoamp, at least if you read Naims websiteā¦
And another rumour provided by Naim site is that you can even use one 350.
