Things I’ve done in the last 24 hours, version 2.0

Expressed disappointment to the offspring after they were interviewed in Manchester by ITV re: Burnham and gave such anodyne answers they probably won’t make it onto the news

My answers would have not been broadcast either although for different reasons.

Whole day hijacked by needing to talk to HMRC and ESA. Fair play. 45 minutes to get to an actual person at HMRC who has now managed to screw up the personal allowance on my pension worse than it was in the first place when the plan was simply to get ESA removed as an income.

HMRC insistence on a P45 is nonsense. You can’t reissue an out of year P45.

Using my hold time constructively by doing some more extracting of individual songs from a 45 minute set by the band the offspring is in. Nothing I can do to fix either clothes sense or those backing vocals. The ones on my YouTube channel hold up as songs but not necessarily as performances, albeit that there were lots of distractions such as erratic kit and very ill parents.

I am now talking to someone at HMRC who has never heard of social security benefits and thought they were something they only had in the USA…

You could have reminded them of DWP…

I fear that we are amazingly at a point that there is pretty much nothing logical I can say. They want information which doesn’t exist and can’t be recreated.

Beautiful! That is seriously impressive work.

Thank you.

Last year when I was painting the bonnet the spray gun had a leaky seal  on the fluid tip so I got a lot of dry spray. It took a lot of wet sanding to get it looking reasonable.

After having plenty of time to harden it came up really well.

That phrase doesn’t really do it justice to be fair.

I suppose I should qualify that by noting my RGBY colour blindness  but Mrs. H. has confirmed I’m not wrong. Great colour and lovely finish.

I used five hours on this real life Mikado of trees (plus ten others) on two evenings. Did it safe from the top, lots of work.

Out for a walk with some friends in Slieve Gullion Forest Park today. Some interesting wildlife.

Irish goats.

Funnel web spider.

The spiders are rather rare in these parts. According to Google first one in NI was spotted in Whitehead (just down the road from where I live) in 2015.

Willy.

After the polish I decided to paint the mirrors because the lacquer was peeling.

I’m happy with the results. Made a dumb mistake by incorrectly routing the mirror cable and didn’t check the glass went up and down :face_with_symbols_on_mouth: so I had to take the door card off again and route the cable behind the window channel.

Did an ID check on Sunday, all very usual , except they wanted me to take my smart phone and scan it over a certain part of the front of my passport
Fifteen minutes of baffled annoyance and then suddenly bars started appearing on the screen and lo and behold up popped my picture:detective::detective::detective:on the screen.

Today a surveyor turned up and said she would feel very isolated from nature and the garden :potted_plant::potted_plant:

I explained that there was a substantial balcony (ish) on the small flat I am buying

A small amount of downsizing on the audio approaches , as storage space is at a premium, and a Rega 3 possibly beckons , though a Techics 1500 does look rather chic , and a good quality built in phono stage is supposed to be part of package .

THE BOSS was on her way home today from cat-sitting duty in the west country…..so I vacuumed downstairs, did the cat litters, watered the patio plants, got dinner sorted etc etc

I found this on the Beeb website yesterday evening.

It was amusing coz I was actually sat in the station building at the time, awaiting my take-away curry!

And a bloody good curry it was! Nice one, Anwar!
