As you will have read on this thread, Tidal will not currently work using the Naim App on a Uniti 2 until Tidal are able to fix the issue that is preventing it from working.
However, you may well be able to stream Tidal through Roon, or a connect service in the meantime.
I logged into Tidal from my PC, it took about 5 attemps to log in, kept getting a message there was a problem logging in, but eventually I logged in. QbMk1 now streaming Tidal, but it could just be a coincidence.
I tried TIDAL about 18 months ago with my then ND5XS. Sounded great but too many glitches. So I abandoned it and kept Spotify which isn’t great quality TBH and local streaming. I didn’t think the old streaming platform worked with TIDAL anyhow.looks like many of you have been using it without problems until now.
A firmware update won’t solve this particular issue, but once it’s sorted you should update to 4.7, which should get Tidal on your Superuniti working again.
There are two protocols (crudely) for carrying webpage type data, http and https (the latter having better security). The Naim kit sends its login using http, Tidal put in a change that redirected it to their https software. That is visible to the card in the Naim, and sensibly it doesn’t trust a login that has been redirected elsewhere, so doesn’t continue with the credentials.
(Non-techie version I hope, but that always runs the risk of still being over-technical while offending the sensibilities of experts. My excuse is that I retired nearly a year ago after 35 years in networking and systems, so you can’t expect me to still remember.)
