My Naim Uniti Atom has started this blank screen issue after working flawlessly for about 5 months . Only a deep sleep will correct it .
I am on the latest firmware Did a factory reset , etc. and the problem still exists .
Please let Naim support know about this, and include as much supporting information as you can. Thanks.
I sent them an email today . I’ll let you know what they say . I have to believe it’s a software bug that they are having a difficult time figuring out .
Naim said I could return it for a replacement but every time I put the Naim in deep sleep and turn it back on the screen works properly again . It’s only if I put it in standby where the blank display occasionally happens . It happened again this morning .
It seems to me this is a software issue . I didn’t have this issue until the last software update by Naim .
My Star has been awful this last week. Software glitches galore, only solution each time is turn of and full reboot.
I did a complete factory reset about two weeks ago and this did not solve the problem either. I have to believe Naim can fix this with a software update.
Naim should be ashamed of their failure to fix the constant Atom, Nova and Star glitches. I have a lot of new tech and early doors you can expect issues but we are probably halfway thru the life cycle or more. It’s great when it works but all too often it doesn’t. C’mon Naim, pull your finger out…
All i’m asking is for the beautiful display to work properly . This is a software glitch
The problem that Naim has is that most of the units work fine with the present firmware. A few don’t, sometimes. It’s hard for them to fix a problem they can’t repeat in their lab.

Well I have 2 Novas and 2 Atoms, all play up. One Nova was so bad i got it swapped for a new one but that does it too. Seems like all of them to me. They are worse on firmware 3.4 and worst of all with a HDMI lead plugged in. I’ve now switched off HDMI auto switching and they are better than they were. I don’t believe this one would be hard to repeat in a lab.
I’m sure they could reproduce the problems you see if they had your units in their lab, but my point was that they don’t have those and reproducing the faults on other examples of the equipment isn’t necessarily so straightforward.

Please do inform Naim support, giving as much detail as possible. I know that Naim are determined to get to the bottom of why some units are so affected with a display issue. Thanks.
I’ve been having the same experience as I have HDMI ARC connected to my Nova too. It just locks up at the HDMI logo when switching to another music source and turning off the TV.
Is it on the latest firmware? If so, please report it to Naim support giving as much supporting detail as possible. Thanks.
If you speak with Naim they do have software they can send to either you or your dealer which on a usb stick can extract details of the fault. This information can then be sent back to Naim so they can reproduce the fault, and hopefully fix.
Yes I’m on 3.4.0. The problem is it happens sporadically and a hard reboot resolves the issue so haven’t made an effort to report it.
Please do so, as the more information they have to work with the better able they will be to get to the bottom of it.
Pretty sure its to do with the HDMI auto switching. The Nova seems to respond to the TV even if you change the input. The music source switches but the screen does not.
You described the issue exactly
One random issue I have when playing from my TV via the optical out, I occasionally get the picture and audio out of sync and a hard re-set of the Nova is required. I haven’t had this occur with my NDX2 though.
