The Yussef Dayes Experience - Live From Mt Fuji, Brownswood Recordings (2026)

Happily a plain black version of this excellent recording without all the bells and whistles is to be released next March.

FKJ & YD - Live From The Greenhouse, Diggers Factory (2025)

Another excellent live recording from Yussef Dayes this time along with French multi instrumentalist

FKJ (French Kiwi Juice) .

Tyrone Washington - Natural Essence, BN/Tone Poet (2026)

Tyrone Washington is an interesting character after 1974’s Do Right LP he never released another record and as of 2022 was still alive and had changed his name to Mohammad Bilal Abdullah and had become a Sunni Muslim minister.

Neil Ardley - Kaleidoscope Rainbows, Analogue October Records (2025)

Expanded on to two records and remastered from the original Gull tapes by Miles Showell using his Half Speed Remaster technique so it has a 50/50 chance of sounding worse than the original. The reissue is beefed up with 12 paged bound insert and is priced at almost £60.

I’ll stick with my £10 Gull original and reissue CD !

For my money, the Jazz In Britain live version from the RFH in 1975, issued on 2CD and download is musically better than this studio version. Also expanded musically.

£60 - they must be having a joke..

It’s not my favourite piece of music and it’s one that can still be found in the Charity shops and online for less than £10 and I’d probably not pay even that but if it was a favourite LP along with all the extra bits and bobs then I would pay £60.

If Analogue Productions or if someone like Kevin Gray was commissioned to do a AAA copy of Quadrophenia or of Paul Weller’s Wild Wood I’d gladly pay £60 and when the UHQR Catch a Fire comes out I’ll pay twice that for a copy.

Peter Gabriel in repeat territory for 2026.

A single a month, every full moon, then the album o/i at the end of the year. Again with dark-side and a bright-side.

Marking 50 years of David Bowie’s groundbreaking tenth studio album, the limited-edition picture disc LP is pressed from the same master and includes an exact reproduction of the original promotional poster used at release.

For this anniversary edition, the Half Speed Master album has been recut on a customised late-model Neumann VMS80 lathe with fully recapped electronics, sourced from 192kHz restored masters of the original Record Plant master tapes. No additional processing was applied, delivering the closest possible representation of the album’s original sound.

Aaron Shaw - And So It Is, Leaving Records (2026)

A first solo record from an Alto and Flute player whose been around for 10 years or more and played with artists from Tyler the Creator to Carlos Nino & Friends and in between many artists I’ve never heard of but the first single from the LP streamed on Tidal Heart Of A Phoenix is excellent so well worth checking the full stream out before you buy.
