Jan Garbarek - Rites

Jan Garbarek (Soprano Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Samplers, Percussion), Rainer BrĂźninghaus (Keyboard, Piano), Eberhard Weber (Bass), Marilyn Mazur (Percussion, Drums) and Bugge Wesseltoft (Synthesizer/Electronic Effects).

Streaming on NAS… a recent arrival, ripped to NAS and now taking out for a spin. I love Jan and his music, owning 14 or so of his albums and loving the sound created from the quintet on this album. One sweet album!

Will be seeing him at the London Jazz Festival in a couple of weeks’ time. Really looking forward to that.

Was that the track chosen by @Richieroo? I did ask him what it was and I remembered Boris Blank, but not the track title. I think I’d better get that.

Wonderful music in the modern style. Early 17th century modern.
