How I miss the good old days when the high streets had your friendly record shop were you could spend many hours away in vinyl heaven.

Miss them to. Wife used to leave me in some the Mega stores literally for a day. I used to go in when they opened, have lunch in the store and probably finish about 3pm. I would double check racks to see what if anything I missed.

Streaming on TIDAL… A few days ago someone played a David Munyon album on the forum and since I could not find it on TIDAL I selected another one and placed in the queue. Taking it out for a spin and the first track is sounding mighty fine…

Just back from the Coteswold Canal Trust Shop clutching this acquired for £4. Her debut album which reached Platinum status.

@MDS recommended I try her music. It’s very much my kind of music so feeling pleased to have added this to my collection. It’s sounding very good which is always good with vinyl. She has a lovely voice different from others and she plays the guitar very well.

Almost forty five years ago Tangerine Dream were allowed in to a packed Reims Cathedral to do their musical thing in front of their fans. This set is split into two Parts and two CDs. It became one of the many legendary live Tangs’ performances.

@ewemon - I was permanently in them especially the small independent shops. There used to be a shop called Penny Lane Records in Bold Street Liverpool. I spent so much time in there they used to make me a cup of tea everytime in went in.
Virgin opened one of their first shops in Bold Street, you could lie on bean bags and listen to the music whist smelling the joss sticks. Happy daze

Used to pop into the old Virgin above the shoe shop in Oxford Street on business. Great wee store.
