Mother’s Day here, so happy Mothers Day to all the mothers.
Starting my Sunday afternoon with Elton John - Live in Australia. I was lucky enough to see these concerts in 87. It’s a pity that you can hear his voice give way. Still worth a listen.
Yes, I’ve noticed that too. I receive a weekly email from ‘The Sound of Vinyl’, where most offerings recently appear to be on coloured vinyl. I assume this is to generate sales (a fashion thing, perhaps?) but in my experience coloured vinyl rarely sounds as good as traditional black.
Emmylou Harris/Mark Knopfler- Beachcombing.
Mac DeMarco - This Old Dog.
A digital copy of the limited 12” single that came out for Record Store Day last month being tracks from the last album session that didn’t make it to the album.
Available from Bandcamp for AUD5.00+VAT
A-side is 24 bit/44.1
B-side 16 bit/44.1
We are off to see Ron Block, who plays guitar on this and many other of her albums, this evening in Chidham Village Hall. If anyone is in the area, come along!
My last one for the night, Neil Young - Zuma
Think it’s my favourite Neil Young album.
And Crazy Horse sorry.
