Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn, Betty Carter, Billie Holliday and Nina Simone are all top notch jazz singers - that’s where I’d go next, Krall is awful.

You have just told someone who has made a new discovery he enjoys that his chosen artist is awful. Oh, and his genre description is entirely wrong (which it isn’t if you look at DK’s back catalogue).
