Still sounds fresh compared to Oasis WTSMG from 25 years ago which has really aged badly.
Fully agree. Post is a great album and ‘Army of Me’ ticks lots of bass boxes
Funkadelic - Maggot Brain. A recent purchase and it’s a cracking album. I don’t know what took so long to discover this.
Beach Boys. Love you. Got this on vinyl and cd but after a day of critical listening of borrowed speakers it’s liberating to relax to this underrated album on lo fi.
Björk. Big time sensuality. Squeezing this in to raise my spirits before Newastle take to the pitch and bring me thudding back to earth. Wrong thread but if I’m going to watch second rate football I want to do it with mates at St James not on soulless tv. Anyway back to you Björk.
Morcheeba - Who Can You Trust
“Laid back beats and gentle smoky tunes… and the hypnotic vocals of Skye Edwards”. Another killer debut album!
Now playing…

Rufus and Chaka Khan - Rags to Rufus. Continuing to explore soul / funk releases from the early to mid 70s.
Inspired by earlier
Calm down before bedtime.
The New Power Generation - Exodus, this was a way for Prince to produce some music whilst in dispute with his record label. Some decent music here, but too many spoken links detract from the flow.

Streaming on NAS (44.1/16)… I have not had Lee Ann out for a spin in a while and after a couple of tracks I know she needs a bit more air time. One fine singer and a fine group of musicians working with her on this album. One sweet album…
