I can vouch for that. Young @igahman Graham, has got an impeccable taste in music!
Now playing…
Food - Mercurial Balm
Thomas Strønen (Drums, Percussion, Electronics), Iain Ballamy (Saxophones, Electronics), Christian Fennesz (Guitar, Electronics), Eivind Aarset (Guitar, Electronics), Prakash Sontakke (Slide Guitar, Vocal) and Nils Petter Molvaer (Trumpet).
Streaming on Qobus (96/24)…continuing on this afternoon with Food’s ‘Mercurial Balm’ as I began my exercise routine and they are sounding mighty fine! Enjoy the album and this talented group of musicians…
Also an excellent selection.
Roger Waters Amused To Death (Remastered)
I think it gets better with the next album:
Just looked them up on Amazon, that CD plus 3 others are all over $150 each (Aus). Just ordered Halfbreed for $18. Obviously the runt of the litter.
I’ll give you 20 quid for the lot
My mofi mono’s have a red strip at the top, yours looks black, or is it just the colour rendition?
The Touch Test on R4 with Claudia Hammond and guests.
A big subject, slightly hard to follow at times but with moments of clarity and insight that made me reflect on my own experiences. Not sure that a radio programme can do more.
Hermione Lee’s biography of Tom Stoppard on R4 as Book of The Week was an unexpected pleasure. The serendipity of radio.
The Allman Brothers Band - At Fillmore East.
Read another ‘list’ this morning about guitarists (disagreed with the ranking of course) and it mentioned Duane Allman which made me think of this album.
My last for the day, need something a little upbeat after 2 albums of Roger Waters. The Go-Betweens Oceans Apart.
Only listened to a few tracks, will confirm the degree of praise when I have heard the entire album.
