Got a few albums by Mr Trower, but this is my “go to “ of his, great guitarist.
James only played on tracks 1 and 5. Main guitarist is the very talented Miller Anderson who also did vocals.
Yes You’re right the strip is black. The mono editions have various colors. This is the mono of JWH.
Yeah thats pretty fair description, she is new to me-as well.
With the right material, backing band and with a voice like that, Ms Fish has the talent to make a killer album IMV. Chills & Fever isn’t that killer album, although I am enjoying it.
She needs to keep recording and one day it might happen for her. She certainly has a great voice and delivers a choon with passion and emotion.
Pat Metheny - As Falls Wichita, So Falls Wichita Falls
I’ve had this album pretty much since it was first released. The title track has this mesmerising quality - rather like painting with music. You can either take in the painting as a whole or study each of its individual elements. And so it is with this piece.
Ah, right. Someone, possibly @AndyP, posted Anderson’s solo album on here a while back. I should be more familiar with Mr. A, him being a Scot and all.
@bhoyo I have posted these two in the past and, you’re right, @AndyP is also a fan of the man . Both excellent albums.
Agree. Finding You is an absolute gem of a song.
I’m playing Celtic Moon as I write. Thanks for the info and recommendation, Tony.
New Order - Waiting For The Sirens’ Call
Afternoon energy needed.
Santana - Amigos, not up to their usual standard at the time, but a couple of gems also.
@anon10403888 and @bhoyo yes well said Tony - Miller is the main guitar man here, he is a big mate of Ian Hunter as in Ian’s song All American Alien Boy:-
“An’ I remember all the good times - me 'n Miller enjoyed
Up and down the M1 in some luminous yo-yo toy”.
That version is supposed to be stunning. I can vouch for the Mono Freewheelin’, it’s great (red strip)
Thanks for that the radio sessions look interesting.
And Keef was in the band Dog Soldier with Miller Anderson
On the question - What Do You Mean You’ve Never Heard of Keef Hartley? Here is an article -
