What are you listening to in 2020 and WHY might anyone be interested?

I took a punt on the new album. Utter tripe…

Yep, it’s one of Grant’s most beautiful songs.

I also love “Here Comes A City” - it is a ringer for Talking Head’s “Life During Wartime”

Don’t ya just love music :grinning:

Leonard Cohen - You Want It Darker

Listening to this with my eyes closed is an eerie experience, in an engaging way. His voice just got better and better, and those lyrics! He did some of his best stuff in his final years IMHO, having to contend with financial pressures, mainly the result of his ex-manager robbing him blind over the years.

My Life in the Bush of Ghosts | 1984
One of my all time favourites from Brian Eno, he is ably aided and abetted here by David Byrne.

Cooking chilli, while listening to this from the days of my yoof. The is the CD version from the box set “The Manticore Studio Albums”, although I still have the LP from around '73.

Good cooking music, but “air guitar” with the spatula and chilli sauce is not recommended

Now playing…

Eleni Karaindrou - Eternity And A Day - Film by Theo Anglelopoulos

Eleni Karaindrou (Piano), Sergiu Nastasa (Violin), Renato Ripo (Violoncello), Iraklis Vavatsikas (Accordion), La Camerata, Athens: Loukas Karytinos (Director), Vangelis Christopoulos (Oboe), Nikos Guinos (Clarinet), Spyros Kazianis (Bassoon), Vangelis Skouras (French Horn), Aris Dimitriiadis (Mandolin), Manthos Halkias (Clarinet), Kostas Siamidis (Lyra from Pontos), Kostas Sahinidis (Accordion), Katrin Zenz (Flute) and Fabrizio Bentivoglio (Voice).

Streaming on Qobuz (44.1/16)… kicking off the day Eleni Karaindrou, wanting something to help ease me into the day. I find Eleni perfect in the morning and sometimes right before heading off to dreamland. One very sweet album!

Have the cats been cleaning the floor?

No, the little darlings are asleep. Anyway, I am more than capable of spraying Passata around the kitchen without needing any assistance at all

Kandace Springs - The Women Who Raised Me

Gal can deliver a choon, and no mistake.

Great voice and her style is maturing and broadening in a rather lovely way.

Stevie Wonder - Talking Book, a classic.

Grateful Dead - Workingmens Dead

The original part of this album is the studio album, but the latter half is a live version of the songs plus one. Personally I prefer the live versions. The Dead seem to put more of themselves into a live set than they do in the studio, and for me, it translates in to a more enjoyable listen.

The other two from Wilco under the name The Autumn Defense.

This was their third album - kicks off with the gorgeous Canyon Arrow.

In 24/48. Great stuff - a must for fans of The Time Lord when it’s released in December.

Laura Shay - Blue Light Sessions

This is rather lovely (except the ‘Sin’ track which is dark).

Yep, it’s the box set of:
Photos Of Ghosts
The World Became The World
Chocolate Kings
Jet Lag.

I have the first two on (original) LPs, bought while I was at Manchester Uni, but the other two are new to me (hangs head in shame). I also saw them live at M.U. ('73 or '74)
Edit: 17th November 1973, according to t’internet.

Ooh! Never heard of them but after a quick listen on Qobuz, I could get in to this. Thank you for posting this one.
