Mountain - Climbing!
It’s been something of an acoustic bass evening today. I’ve not played this for a while. Bass and guitar. Wonderful.
Simply Red - Stars, listening to the concert dvd recorded at Montreaux, which is part of the three disc expanded release.
More Jamiroquai tonight. Or do I mean Stevie Wonder again. Decent to be fair.
It says:
" Travelling Without Moving is the third studio album by British funk/acid jazz band Jamiroquai, released on 28 August 1996 in Japan, 9 September 1996 in the United Kingdom, 19 November 1996 in Canada, and 14 January 1997 in the United States. The album features the international hit single “Virtual Insanity”. It sold over 8 million copies worldwide, and entered the Guinness World Records as the best-selling funk album in history.[3]
When I first put this album on, I lasted one track
I am now trying again, on track 5, and quite enjoying it, perhaps just track No.1 I dislike?
I suspect I need to listen to this some more ?!
Spotted earlier when @Jamiewednesday posted it.
Giving it a go - quite pleasant, enjoyed Heaven Can Wait probably my favourite song on Bat Out of Hell.
Listen again - probably
Buy it - probably not
Ellen Foley - Fighting Words
Iggy Pop - Lust For Life (Idiot On run out grooves)
Smoke Fairies - Through Low Light and Trees
Both vinyl.
Intrigued by @anon4489532 post, I thought I’d give this a go.
To quote Star Trek’s Mr Spock “fascinating”
Barre Phillips - End to End
Music to chill out to this evening - this has real atmosphere!
More music to chill to. Melodic well recorded and undemanding!
Another great ACE compilation
This is probably one of the first I bought circa 1992 but I’m still buying great ACE compilations nearly 30 years later.
