Anja Lechner (Violoncello) and François Couturier (Piano).
Streaming on Qobuz (96/24)… kicking off this Saturday morning with another spin of this fabulous album from Anja and Francois. The music is beautiful and sounding sweet! …a wonderful way to ease into the day…
Give up on the Steve Hackett album - perhaps for another time - in another mood.
Switched to Paul Weller for subtle change:
Well recorded ,clean duo.

John Martyn. Glorious fool. Wasn’t too keen when it was released because thought someone else was pulling strings but with passage of time it’s very agreeable.
Time for some cello. Includes a DVD, but I have yet to watch it.
Tattoo you - Rolling Stones
@AlanP I get what you mean. Thanks for pointing out. Comparing bigger bang to this shows the original Tattoo you to be way superior when played louder and no fatigue setting in. The 2002 abcko remasters of the old stuff which is the bulk of my remasters sound fine.
On vinyl. This album – jazz trio covers of Sabs tunes – is a hoot, of course but it’s a joke that bears repeated listening becauise the music’s so good. The version of “Iron Man” is absolutely superb!
