The Good The Bad And The Queen - Merrie Land (Studio 13 LP 2018)

Damon Albarn reflecting on Britain and Britishness, the B word, a lamentable melancholic feel presented through Canterbury Tales, Musical Hall Influences, Reggae bass lines, Afrobeat drumming and a Welsh Male Voice Choir

Blur - Parklife (EMI Abbey Rd 2LP 2012)

Following Merrie Land couldnt resist a rewind to the nineties and so called “britpop” and “cool Britannia” ( Damon Albarn at least had the savvy to see through all that unlike some contemporaries) with this 2012 Abbey Rd 2LP remaster.

…Cut down on your pork life mate!..get some excercise! :joy:

Samuel Leipold - Viscosity

Streaming on Qobuz (44.1/24)… a mention from @TheKevster above had me place in the queue. Listening to the opening track and enjoying Samuel’s music. This was a quote from ‘Micheal’s Jazz Blog’ review of the album: “The album has a unique maelstrom where solo guitar songs and ambient sounds alternate but create uniform aesthetics and a homogenous experience. Please take your time to listen to this album, you will not regret it”.

I am enjoying the music but it may not be for everyone…

John Martyn. Solid Air. Old Vinyl. Still sounds great. The title track I think is about Nick Drake.

Polite blues. Not exactly authentic but good tunes and enjoyable none the less.
