As everyone says, it’s a great performance well recorded. But I think I prefer NY when he’s making a racket…

It’s just gone noon
Half past monsoon
On the banks of the river Nile
Here comes the boat
Only half-afloat
Oarsman grins a toothless smile
Only just one more
To this desolate shore
Last boat along the river Nile
Doesn’t seem to care
No more wind in his hair
As he reaches his last half mile
The oar snaps in his hand
Before he reaches dry land
But the sound doesn’t deafen his smile
Just pokes at wet sand
With an oar in his hand
Floats off down the river Nile
Floats off down the river Nile

Have been sorting my vinyl out- separating jazz from everything else and refound this gem. What a talent….
Sorry about the 90degree phase shift…
It’s actually Ike Quebec- blue and sentimental
…for us old folk with poor eyesight it is always helpful to type out the artist and album name, pictures of albums can be quite hard to make out. If it is to much to ask, no worries…
That’s a good idea- will do so in future.

This guy popped up on facebook……never heard of him, a Hertfordshire rocker, new album coming, rather good.
Norah Jones, feels like home. Woke up extra early today, especially considering daylight saving. Sunrise.
Was listening to and enjoying Eddie Reader after Nigel @anon4489532 posted about the Wemfest concert. So this popped up, Steve Harley of Cockney Rebel fame singing on this solo album with Eddie on one track.
Turned off the music to watch some music.
Sky Arts in the UK are showing Deep Purple, Come Hell or High Water a documentary about the 1993 MK2 lineup tour.
Glass of White and saw this tour at Bradford St George’s so brings back memories.
Look on Nick Drake’s Pink Moon album and you’ll see Ray Warleigh’s name in fact on any great album from that period he’s bound to be there on saxophone.
This album ‘Ray Warleigh’s First Album’ was produced by Scott Walker.
