Haven’t played it in awhile but from memory it usually starts almost at the beginning of the sax solo gets worse when he hits the high note. Only cd I have that has that amount of distortion. Mine are original masterings on cd.
Just played it on Spotify on my computer system and can hear the distortion on that as well.

Cherry Red label recently did two anthologies of her entire catalogue - well worth a purchase.
Outstanding songwriter with a beautiful voice.
Not forgetting her backing singer services - notably on Dark Side of the Moon.
