I’m not really into proggy stuff (are Caravan proggy?) but I found a NM first press of this nice slice of Cambridge (er…Canterbury. Ta @Clive ) whimsy…quite like it.
They’re no Syd, but…not bad!
Yep a dodgy one for sure
Terry Reid - Superlungs.
Tidalising the extended version of this album, which contains “The Complete Studio EMI Recordings 1966–1969”.
“Superlungs”, indeed … … … a little dated in places, but, nevertheless, what a voice!
No it is a unique rip, never to be repeated, Offers £1000 - that’s no rip-off.
I think you mean Canterbury.
Phil Pratt & Friends 1966-1968 - Safe Travel - The Rare Side of Rocksteady.
Bought on a whim on an awayday, 'cos I couldn’t quite place the name “Phil Pratt”.
Got home and , of course, that Phil Pratt , from his early days at Studio One, to his move into production where he worked with many of the big names in reggae and rocksteady.
Essential.
Max Romeo and the Upsetters. War ina Babylon.
That’s more like it.
One step forward two step backward.
A favourite Phil Pratt production of mine is
The Blackstones - Insight (Burning Sounds 1979)
Still available as a re issue from Burning Sounds
Ah, thanks! I’m not very schooled in Caravan-serai!
Anyone else play Kaleo? Couple of albums of entertaining Icelandic Rocky Bluesy stuff. Like them lots.
Zuma. Neil Young.
Day off work, the weather is crap so can’t go fishing.
Wrapping Christmas presents which can’t be done without some xmas tunes… streaming from Tidal:
Seasick Steve - Blues in Mono.
I first mentioned this one way back in February, and my opinion remains the same today.
"Stripped down country blues - just one man, his acoustic guitar and a microphone, direct to an old tape machine.
This is an album that fans have been crying out for, for years."
Belter … … … though in a very understated way.
Guru Guru - Hintern Reissue on horrific splatter vinyl. Sounds very decent though.
