I wonder what I did with my “Blondie is a band” badge I was given at a gig.
John Williams & The London Symphony Orchestra
Star Wars A New Hope
I was watching “The Mandalorian” on Disney + this morning and there was only one album to start the day.

A new solo piano album from the wonderful Nik Bärtsch, recorded in late 2020. Qobuz have the hi res for only £7.99, or £3.99 if you have a Sublime subscription. I suspect the price will increase to the usual £18.99 once they realise their mistake, but I’m not complaining.
Well, they only released two studio albums, seems rude not to continue with
Taste - On The Boards, a much more assured follow up.
In my post above about Michael Stanley Band release Greatest Hints, bassist Daniel Pecchio was replaced by Michael Gismondi , sorry for the error. Jeff A
The Michael Stanley Band - You Break It You Bought It… - Tidal 16/44
A band I’d never heard of until Jeff started playing them above, this was a fine rock album, some gentle rockers and some stadium sing-alongs. Really enjoyed this, I have a compilation album winging its way from a second hand seller now.
I know you are on a wind up Graham, but check out the non faded version of "Sheriff " that is on the Life In 12 Bars collection, nice groove at the end.
Mick Jagger - She’s The Boss, some inventive playing from Jeff Beck always makes this an interesting listen.
Yes Alan, you’ve got me weighed up.
Seriously though I’ve been big fan since Yardbirds and Mayall.
Lined up that 6 minute version for later.
Philip Glass, A Portrait. Angèle Dubeau & La Pietà. Analekta CD.
Very few artists obtain permission to record Philip Glass’ music and the first time Dubeau asked, she got an “out of the question” response from his agents. Fortunately and unbeknownst to them, however, Dubeau has a strong relationship with Glass, having worked with him a decade or so prior, and Glass himself agreed.
To make a long story short, Dubeau and La Pietà (an all-female ensemble she created) issued that album in 2009 and to this day it is widely recognized as one of the best albums of Philip Glass music. It grabs one’s full attention right from the first bars and keeps it all along.
Sound quality of the Analekta CD is near perfect. In particular, Dubeau’s Des Rosiers Stradivarius from 1733 sounds amazing.

It my case, still sounding fine, amazing really
