Lisa Mills - Live At Catt’s Brown Bag
Great intimate live recording, just Lisa singing and playing her archtop “Evangeline”.

Released on Monday for piano day. Recorded in 2009 but not released until now. Very nice indeed.

Finally getting around to this 3CD set. Fantastic stuff.

So true, also seen him many times and on good form there are few to touch him. Best gigs include some very small club-style dates where it was a privilege to be in the same room.

Very worst I saw was when he toured with Linda Gail Lewis and what appeared to be a pick up band of blokes he met in the pub. Turned out that wasn’t too far from the truth.

Mick Ronson - Heaven and Hull - WAV CD rip
One of the great guitarists in his last solo (posthumously released) album before his tragically early death, he was a very good singer and frontman as well as being a perfect lead guitarist, this album is very fine rock music.
Yesterday I turned on the TV, Flog It was on and coming from Hull, they talked about Ronno and had his sister on.

These Aussie boys certainly have powered through the ages!

There is just something about the Hammond sound that makes music groove. Great choice and great band. Check out their Live on KEXP and Concussion if you haven’t done so already.

The Beach Boys | Surf’s Up | 1971
It’s hardly been a day North of the border that conjures up thoughts of California or the Beach Boys but I just fancied this one from this 2016 SACD.
