Myself and Mrs Sloop’s first date was the film “eat the peach” which we watched again lately (April 7th, so not that lately). the theme song was on Brady’s next album “Primitive Dance” and a mix tape (as they are called now) of Paul Brady wended its way towards her pretty soon after the film.
I get the feeling @Eoink that we would have a lot in common musically and would have a lot to talk about if ever we were to meet.
I found myself singing “Lemon” today as I searched out a lemon at a farmer’s market and hence I’m ending the night with
Goldfrapp, head first. Weekend is only hours away for me down under. I can’t wait. Going to dive head first into it and take off like a rocket even if it’s a premature.
I like a fresh perspective on music often crystalized by history and immobilized in celebrated performances. KJ adds a few short embellishments in proper places as was Mozart’s time’s custom and in general his is a very respectful and loving rendition, proving that a true musician doesn’t need to be a ‘specialist’.

The story of this flashback is the jigsaw I was given for my birthday and my wife remembering the singer and the song. I probably do not need to say more than the lyrics are about Van Gogh’s period in an asylum from about which time the painting dates.
