Just love Johnny Guitar Watson…
This might not be as strong as Ain’t That A Bitch & A Real Mother For Ya but I hear more of his Blues roots in his guitar playing on this one…and some great humour

Paul McCartney Venus and Mars

Apart from the music, this album caught my attention and imagination when it was first released because of the design and graphics. The custom lettering by George Hardie in particular sparked in my interest in all things typographical in my early days as a graphic designer. GH’s work can be found on many a ‘Classic’ release as he worked with the Hipgnosis Studio.

Charles Lloyd - Sangam

Charles Lloyd (Saxophone, Tarogato, Flute, Piano, Percussion), Zakir Hussain (Tabla, Percussion) and Eric Harland (Drums, Percussion, Piano).

Streaming on Qobuz (44.1/16)… kicking off this Friday morning with Charles and this fabulous trio and they are sounding sublime! I have not had this album out for quite awhile and it needs to be worked into the rotation on a more frequent basis. So much music, so little time…
