I must say Stevie I hadn’t listened to Bob for a long time. As Mrs Q isn’t a fan I don’t play him when she’s around and as a result he doesn’t readily come to mind when listening during my daily routine.
As a result I haven’t listened to anything he’s done post around 1990 until today. A lot of the post 2000 stuff has almost a Jazz feel to it and is most enjoyable.
Pysch-Folk weirdness from the Rounders, 1968.
The Moray Eels Eat The Holy Modal Rounders
Not sure who came first, The Fugs or this lot…
Lydia Lunch & Cypress Grove
Spiritual Front
C&W Doom
She covers Hotel California on this, for all you Eaglets out there.

Streaming on Qobuz (96/24)… a mention on the David Sylvian | Japan | Rain Tree Crow thread had me place this album from Ryuichi into the queue and now taking out for a spin. …and the opening track is sounding sublime! The second track 'Grains (Sweet Paulownia Wood) features David Sylvian and he sounds mighty fine…
I was looking through Vangelis’ vast catelogue earlier and decided to play this. Last time I played it I had a 202/200 set up and had forgotten how good it is … haunting and sublime. Such a shame the great man is no longer with us.
Seeing these guys on Monday so thought I’d give the new album a listen.
I think its some of the best music they’ve ever recorded
Dawn Landes – Bluebird
