Edgar Broughton Band - Sing Brother Sing

Just had an email exchange with the man himself Edgar - you find an email address ask a burning question and get a lovely reply. Most touching.

As a thanks I promised to spin one of his albums.

Edgar very kindly signed my concert program when he appeared at Dudley zoo. No I’m not making it up.

Would that have been Friday 5th June 1970 on the bill:

Quintessence
Sam Apple Pie

Yes Andy and still have the program which is also autographed by Marc Bolan, Micky Finn, June Child and some of Quintessence. Think Jeff Dexter was the compere.
There was a wonderful relaxed atmosphere between audience and performers. One of the greatest concerts I’ve attended.

I have albums by all those artists on the bill.

Arcana - The Last Wave - 1996

It was so memorable seeing Derek Bailey play live, I only saw him solo in the 80’s, but here he is with Bill Laswell on bass and Tony Williams on drums.

Johnny Osbourne- Right Right Time Qobuz HR/Baco)

Enjoying the new album from the great Johnny Osbourne who’s been recording since the late sixties at Studio One.
Stil in fine voice with a great band from France, The French Connexion Band.
Listening in HR on Qobuz, import LP and beer mat also available.
