Amos Lee - Last Days At The Lodge
Thanks Andy, didn’t know this was out. Great late night listening, just like 30 odd years ago
Enjoying…
Following recommendations on this thread I have listened to this great sounding album a number of times over the last few months and so pulled the trigger on a download for the princely sum of £4, as part of a recent Qobuz download order. Great songs and a great bargain!
The opening track sets up for a nice collection of soul numbers from Billy and his band. Enjoy…

Jacqueline du Pré, The Great Cello Concertos: Elgar, Dvořák, Saint-Saëns, Haydn, 2023 | Classical | ProStudioMasters Flac 24-192 | Album average DR 12 (9-15)
Jacqueline du Pré ‘s performance is wonderful. She is consider to be one of the best Elgar cello concertos performer in the world. This album is a must.
From ProStudioMasters:
Du Pré brought such searing intensity and radiant joy to her cello playing that, despite a career that was tragically curtailed by multiple sclerosis, continues to impact musicians today. This luxury set, originally released in 2007 to mark the 25th anniversary of her death, is a treasury uniting du Pré’s Concerto recordings from her tenure at EMI Classics. Mastered at Abbey Road, the collection also features her legendary 1965 recording of the Elgar Cello Concerto in E Minor conducted by Sir John Barbirolli – to which many have described as the definitive” interpretation.
