What are you listening to in 2023 and why might anyone be interested?

Much of Florence Price’s music was believed to be lost.

Then, quite by chance, someone came across the manuscripts of her scores in an abandoned cabin in Illinois that she had lived in once.

It’s the kind of story that Donald Macleod should cover on Radio 3 - if he hasn’t done so already.

We need to hear more of the work of female composers.

More Drake. Beautiful and sad.

Pink Moon differs from Drake’s previous albums in that it was recorded without a backing band, featuring just Drake on vocals, acoustic guitar and a brief piano riff overdubbed onto the title track.”. Wiki.

Other Lives - For Their Love 2020

I think it must of been recommended here, I listened to a few tracks on Tidal and bought the vinyl. It’s good, kind of folk / alternative rock with hints of Fleet Foxes.

Listening with the lights low.
