Weren’t they connected to Stereo Stereo, the much-loved and much-missed Glasgow retailer? Possibly started by the same guy?

If so, that’s a strong recommendation as far as I’m concerned.

Men At Work - Business As Usual - CD

How time flies, remember picking this up from my local H.M.V. 41 years ago.

Agree wholeheartedly, it somehow feels half finished.

Staying with the live stuff

Peter Frampton - At Royal Albert Hall.

I have the P75 Mk 4 (a cameo role in photo below), which is spectacularly good, especially for the price. I’m as cack-handed as they come, but found it easy to set up and use. It’s a massive improvement over my old Mk 3 too.

And this is what I was listening to last night, to the accompaniment of a leak in the roof. Heavy summer rains every day – just another reason to love South Florida. Sigh.

David Sylvian - Gone To Earth (1987, which is, gulp, 36 years ago)

To be honest I don’t know. I will ask Michael the next time I’m in. It’s a great friendly shop and you are made welcome. A few years ago Linn published a short video of their history and it was Michael who presented it. It’s on YouTube I believe.

I’ve found that and will watch it later. Michael definitely looks familiar.
