What are you listening to in 2023 and why might anyone be interested?

Funny. What a coincidence…
Just listening to Rush : Hemispheres, track 4 “La Villa Striangiato”.

@QuickSticks made me do it… :joy:
We exchanged notes earlier today on test tracks for his latest LP12 upgrades.

So, here I am tonight enjoying this amazing track.
It’s been a while since I listened the this piece properly. Listened to CD rip first. Then discovered Qobuz offers several versions in HIRes format. Finished by playing my original 70’s vinyl version, on the old fruit box.

It’s absolutely fabulous.

I don’t really like, or listen to, opera very much. But I do like Monteverdi’s Orfeo - and Jordi Savall’s version here (recorded in 2002) is a belter!

No, I’m sorry, I’ve never heard of them. I’ll make a mental note to see if they’re on Qobuz.

I liked, as did many the last album by William Bell……this one released April this year seems to have gone under the radar. Have not found a way yet to buy……will try on Spotify tomorrow. I post in hope someone in the UK has managed to find it at a decent quality.

They play MO albums (very well) and have released two CDs iirc, and gig them too…or did, I’m not sure if they’re still together

A cracker on vinyl. Sounds great on Qobuz too. Seems like a really good bloke. Could do with a few more like him. Lovely record.

It’s The Unforgettable Fire for me. I haven’t got on so well with their newer releases though, I tried listening to Songs Of Surrender but was unable to come to terms with how unappealing Bono sounded without the band.
