Rush - Power Windows

Having a little twiddle with the Rel’s settings this morning. Taken the output up 2 clicks and seeing how it runs for the rest of the day…

Which 3.

Hurricane, Joey, Sara.

That’s 3 of the best tracks, Sarah is a favourite. Takes be back to an old mate who’s no longer with us and his brand new Volvo through Surfers Paradise. Good thing we’re all individuals.

The last of a magnificent run of 3 from Thank Christ, through Split to this genuinely mighty album. Qobuz stream. Sadly sold the vinyl donkeys years ago. What a fool I was.

Why miss out three tracks on such a brilliant album? It was on this album that I first heard Emmylou Harris.

Al Stewart Down in the Cellar

A favourite of a friend who now’s in France. Rather good :clinking_glasses:

Hurricane-over familiarity
Joey -Sugary sentimentality for a gangster
Sara-too literal
He wrote Sad eyed lady of the lowlands for Sara and I never tire of that
It’s just my opinion Clive.

Just been talking David Bowie with a friend and Blackstar came up. This is an album I find very difficult to listen to, so this is only the 3rd time. :pensive:

My goodness, it sounds truly amazing on the NDX2 282/300 system.

It’s difficult but well worth it, the last 2 tracks make me tear up.

Oh god, I know Pete.
So much emotion generated from this album.
I’m psyching myself up to buy it at the moment.
Am I ready? CD or Vinyl?

Just ordered a 1st press from Discogs. Unplayed and sold for less than I can buy it on Amazon for at the moment (minus delivery)…:man_shrugging:t2:
Still, I have just played it for the 3rd time and no emotional overload this time. Eyes stayed dry🙂

I’ve only got a hi res 96/24 WAV which sound pretty good.

Charlie Christian. The genius of the electric guitar.
Cd rip of disc 2 of this well presented 4cd box.
