“Stunning production, songwriting and vocals”, sh*t cover!
It’s a shame and baffling how some downright awful artwork gets approved ?
Wow, I’d just put that in my favourites list on Qobuz while I was listening to Ten New Songs… I’m listening to Lay it down now… but look forward to listening to this after your comments…
Artwork is by a guy called Leonard Cohen.
Hope he didn’t give up the day job
Paul Young - The Crossing.
The City - Now That Everything’s Been Said
Carole King - keyboards, vocals
Charles Larkey - bass
Danny Kortchmar - guitar
Jim Gordon - drums
Until a recent re-issue this was one of THE obsure albums.
Still “beating it up” so to speak….
South Central - Society Of The Spectacle
Why this - well Mr Numan did have a hand in one of the tracks….
This is the first Tom Waits album I ever heard, at the Brighton Cassette & Hifi Centre, through some amazing Dahlquist DQ10 speakers. It must have been 1978, and I’ve loved Tom’s work ever since.
I feel the same about the Stones’ later cover art…talk about amateur hour.
Yeah, they do have some shockers in the catalogue.
