Well, I’ve known about Dream Theater’s version of Rush - Xanadu for ages, but unbelievably never got around to playing it.
WOW!:open_mouth:
My God! This is REALLLY GOOD!!!:flushed:
Not many people are prepared to cover Rush, but these guys have done a fabulous job.

To late to edit original post to add this nice review from Reggaeville…

A sadly still very appropriate song in these continuing troubled times.
Ziggy’s performance from House Of Blues of a song from Dad’s survival album…

Staying with Rush live, Different Stages was mostly recorded from the 1997 Test For Echo tour, but has a few tracks from the 1994 Counterparts tour added in for good measure.

On CD, the SQ on this album definitely improved on the previous A Show of Hands.

Massive Attack - Protection.

Cracking album from Bristol’s finest, and my favourite offering of theirs … … … … well, apart from this one, of course.

Massive Attack v Mad Professor - No Protection.

1 Radiation Ruling The Nation (Protection)
2 Bumper Ball Dub (Karmacoma)
3 Trinity Dub (Three)
4 Cool Monsoon (Weather Storm)
5 Eternal Feedback (Sly)
6 Moving Dub (Better Things)
7 I Spy (Spying Glass)
8 Backward Sucking (Heat Miser)

They already had a stunning album in “Protection”, but then they just had to let Neil Fraser, a.k.a Mad Professor, loose on it.

He just chucked all the soundbites up in the air, had a look at how they’d landed, jiggled things around a bit, and came up with a completely new album … … … which is an absolute BELTER!

Massive Attack have just announced that Angelo Bruschini who played guitar with the band for many years, including on Mezzanine, has just died of lung cancer at age of 62. RIP

Hey Quick, not wishing to turn in to one of the grumps, but as a positive suggestion how about some closer, clearer pics of the records rather than your rig, me peepers aint what they used to be and HiFi porn no longer gets me aroused :joy::heart:

I’ll see what I can do, but I’m still into the HiFi ‘Porn’
They are HiRes Pics, so should zoom pretty well and I normally annotate the posts with details of the release.
Besides, @Isca_Dumnoniorum shoots his much wider than me…:stuck_out_tongue:

Now that is a real shame.

He was a regular touring member of the band, and has been taken way too early.

I think I might be about to go on a live Grateful Dead kick - there’s a lot of it and I have plenty on vinyl as well as CD.

Gerry Rafferty - City to City

Someone posted this earlier. I haven’t listened to this fine album for ages. Playing my original vinyl copy, which sounds superb. There’s not a duff track on this.
