I wonder if you might like (if your not familiar already of course) the excellent Ethiopiques series which is up to at a mind boggling 30 volumes or more.
Heres vol 1
Theres is a “Best of”
Great music but dont expect “audiophile” sound
Thank you @Dreadatthecontrols I have heard a few. Vol 4 jumps to mind but I didn’t realise there were so many! I will explore. Cheers
Robert
I think many can be found on Qobuz.
If you play vinyl this double “Best of” is pretty good, on the Heavenly Sweetness label
I do indeed so will track this down immediately. Thank you!
Looks like you can pick up new sealed copys on Discogs for about £30 with shipping including from the label Heavenly Sweetness.
Or Bandcamp if you prefer (you get the digital download as well)
I have the album, like I say dont expect “audiophile” but if your interest is more musical than “HiFi” you may enjoy it
I haven’t listened to this in ages. Played Geddy Lee - My Favourite Headache the other day, seemed only fair to play Alex’s solo album Victor…
Nice! I have that on vinyl, and might just line it up for this evening 8)
