What are you listening to in 2023 and why might anyone be interested?

I’d be interested to know what you think of it.

I’m not won over by it - yet, anyway.

It is as you say twofifty an absolute cracker

One of my best purchases of 2023

My Dad had the LP, and the great quality of the recording was clearly evident so I bought the CD a few years ago. MPS always maintain high standards with their releases and this is one of the best.

The reflective tones of the late Sinead O’Connor from c2012, How About I be Me (and You Be You) – on CD

One of those artistes where it’s not the melody and/or the often highly repetitive chorus which grabs you, but the need to focus on the detailing of the often wonderful and prescient lyrics. OK, it’s rarely joyful stuff – but life in general often isn’t.

Supertramp - Crime of the Century - 1970s vinyl
The catchiness of a lot of the tunes briefly disguises the complexity of the music and the bleakness of a lot of the lyrics. That makes it sound depressing, it’s full of fantastic songs. A great prog-pop(?) album.

3 hours a week to do a full clean.
She cycles the monthly jobs like inside windows and all the blinds.
I am at the point in life where I don’t want to be cleaning toilets etc.
I do my daily stuff, like the kitchen and I hoover every couple of days. If I cleaned it fully like she does, it would take me all day and life is simply too short for that @Dreadatthecontrols.
I pay her more than all her other clients and I pay her 52 weeks a year regardless of sick days and holidays. I also paid her all through lockdown, otherwise she probably would have really struggled.
