Best version for me is Tim Buckley’s off the album Sefronia.
So far I’m going with Pentangle, but I’ll give Tim a go.
He adds a few lyrics of his own which are interesting.
Then Greetings from LA and Look at the Fool albums will knock your socks off.
We have just had a heavy 5 or so days at work due to relocation, so taking an easy day. Even the young fit strong lads are knackered, never mind us old hands! So a few gentle soothing tunes from Mr Cohen.
Starting out with a new(ish) 50th Anniversary release of an old favourite.
Steely Dan - Can’t Buy A Thrill
Another 50th Anniversary Edition
David Bowie - The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars
nice one, I have the Vinyl and it is fantastic
Mahler 7th. Georg Solti. Vinyl. This is quite hard work tbh.
Queen + David Bowie - Under Pressure - CD Single
Queen & David Bowie were at No.1 in the UK singles charts with Under Pressure on this Day 21st Nov 1981
20th Anniversary Release of Evanescence - Fallen
My vinyl copy hasn’t shown up yet, so NDX2 gets woken up for this on😊
Still can’t get my head around this being 20 years old…
Can - Flow Motion. A recent post about this album by @TheKevster intrigued me, so I gave it a listen. I was slightly surprised how much I liked it, so I bought the CD and I’m spinning it now. One or two of the tracks remind me a bit of Talking Heads. Since first listening to this, I’ve given Future Days and Tago Mago a quick try but found those albums a more challenging listen. Perhaps need to try again.
Peter Green’s Fleetwood Mac. Self titled debut.
Cd rip from the Complete Blue Horizon box set. Includes studio chatter and a number of outtakes that show an increasingly irate Mike Vernon trying to get them to take things more seriously.
