What are you listening to in 2023 and why might anyone be interested?

Not only her voice - she insisted on a body double for that scene, some controversy about who it actually was.

Really? First time I’ve heard of that

Mary Gauthier. Listening to a lot of her albums on Qobuz. She has a really interesting delivery of songs - laid back and with a great drawl. Very well recorded. Glad I discovered her.

Youth meets Jah Wobble: Acid Punk Dub Apocalypse - 2020

What with work commitments and a host of relatives visiting this weekend listening time has become somewhat ‘book-ended’. Hoping for a vinyl spinning slot sometime Sunday late afternoon (if I’m lucky)

Yep, she thought her bum wasn’t up to it! There’s conflicting accounts of who it was - the he director says he nipped into Glasgow and brought back a stripper!

Ultravox - Lament
Vinyl. This was the last of their “better” albums IMO, following up on Vienna, Rage In Eden and Quartet.

Last of my Ultravox for today - 1981 original vinyl copy sounding excellent. The cover isn’t exactly pristine - hardly surprising the amount of times this was played when it came out! Is it an age thing or is it just because there’s so much more music out there readily available these days - but the days of playing new albums over and over have long gone for me :grinning:
