I wanted to play the release you were listening to mate, but Qobuz only has a few tracks available for some reason…
Sarah Walkers Radio 3 show @ hope you are tuned in on your NAT 01 Clive
Filling in a few gaps and re-visiting the magnificent Van Der Graaf Generator.
Not an album I have listened to before. The start to the track Arrow sounds like a mid-70’s Miles Davis groove.
If you don’t like prog rock then don’t apply here but if you like prog and have never heard this then it’s an essential.
Van Der Graaf Generator - Godbluff (1975)
Buy this vinyl dude, you won’t regret it, it is still burning down my living room @QuickSticks
The whole concert is just fantastic and so various. One of the best live albums I ever bought. Paid 50 Euros for this 3LP set, not too much I would say
Just put it on my Christmas/Birthday list…
DeJay masterclass with Beenie Man, Lt Stitchie, Josey Wales and Bunny General carrying the vibes at King Jammy’s.
Great stuff, often hilarious and makes me feel upfull every time…
Riddim up Jammy!
Only the sampler tracks from a few months back, very good they were too.
It’s a great album, Andy. The Undercover Man still sends chills down my spine after all these years. Godbluff is only surpassed by Pawn Hearts imho.
