From 2000 Allan Holdsworth - The Sixteen Men of Tain a masterwork of improvisation.

Holdsworth could have made a fortune but like all true great artists he decided to do it his way.

Also the inventor of the Fizzbuster.

Big fan of Evanescence here, does this 20th Anniversary bring anything much to the party? @Deeg

I’m still trying to find my ‘bootleg’ tape of him playing at the Bass Clef in the mid 80’s. He nailed it.

Will need to revisit my original version to compare but initially, and from distant recollection, it’s the extra tracks that add any value rather than the remastering. Will hopefully spin up my vinyl version this week and that may change my thinking.

Thanks Deeg, I’m of an age now where I’m getting somewhat jaded chasing ‘anniversary etc.’ releases

Know what you mean…was only interested by this release as i lacked the original on vinyl. Too many albums of my past are creeping up to 20/30 years old now and ripe for exploitation by records companies/bands.

No introduction needed.
After playing Abbey Road regularly, I’d forgotten about this other 1969 minter.
