Friday evening is pasta night, glass of red, jazz music
Thank you… it’s all a bit confusing at the moment! Enjoy Porcupine Tree… I’ve become a bit addicted to them and also Sten Wilson’s solo work…
His first couple of albums in Blackfield (handily title Blackfield and, er, Blackfield 2) are also very decent IMO
Thank you! I think I’ve got my whole album list sorted for 2024 already?
Now Playing…
Neil Young - Chrome Dreams
Neil Young (Acoustic Guitar, Harmonica, Instrumentation, Keyboards, Percussion), Ben Keith (Dobro, Vocals), Billy Talbot (Bass, Vocals), Emmylou Harris (Vocals), Frank “Poncho” Sampedro (Guitar, Mandolin, Synthesizer, Vocals), Karl Himmel (Drums, Piano, Vocals), Ralph Molina (Drums, Vocals) and Tim Drummond (Bass).
Streaming on Qobuz 192/24)… continuing on with Neil’s updated release from this past August and he and the band are sounding sublime! A little trip down memory lane…
This is such a good album. I’m so happy it was finally released.
It’s a compilation all the stuff was already released on other albums. Old Neil doesn’t miss a trick.
While I appreciate what you’re saying, and agree to a large extent, was this not a shelved project from way back, and then released properly this year.?

As I’ve posted elsewhere, I got to know Steve Winwood rather well, as I acted for him (in my former guise as a lawyer) when his manager became confused as to the ownership of monies which he was supposed to be investing on Steve’s behalf!
In case anyone thinks that I’m name-dropping, he is the only person whom I know who played on ‘Electric Ladyland’.
He was a perfect gentleman, always dressed in a variety of tweed jackets, jeans and shirt, usually with a shoelace-type tie.
