Henry McCullough - Ballywonderland - Tidal 16/44
Late great guitarist’s final album, a range of styles, songs from through his solo career, sung in a lovely gentle voice, superb guitar work and a fine band, beautiful beautiful album.

Declan Sinnott - Window on the World - Tidal 16/44
Sticking with solo albums by great Irish guitarist sidies, crossing the border from Henry’s North to Declan’s South. A set of tender ballads and light rockers, beautifully sung in a very gentle voice, incredibly sensitive guitar work, really lovely music.

Ooh - tempted! My copy sounds great but does have a little surface noise I can’t get rid of.

Extremely expensive but absolutely fantastic. First listen to my stereo in 3 weeks after being away for Christmas. Have missed it!

Tal Walker is a fantastic young Israeli-Belgian pianist and this is debut CD, of preludes and nocturnes by French composers. His readings of Messiaen are especially fine.
