Mid 60’s acid/psych on this, their first album, then they went all downhome and bar room. Sigh.

Cannonball Adderley. Somethin’ else.
I know there’s some good modern jazz around but nothing moves me like the classics of the 50s and 60s.
Another outstanding Blue note recording.

The morning after the night before…

I have I think 3 copies of this on LP.
2 or more on CD including this deluxe ed. It sounds wonderful on vinyl. Mastered by Chris Bellman.

Wrecking Ball RSD triple LP set, beautiful tri-fold package to boot.

Never gets old.

Apologies too for a second post…I was a bit, er, confused last night!

Colin and Rod are still onboard. It’s not an instant wow so I will reserve judgment on the album until I’ve heard it a few more times, plus it was a little unfair as it was on as background music whilst preparing lunch.

Me too, I enjoy a lot of modern stuff but I think the 50’s particularly and 60’s were a golden age in terms of both musicality and sound/recording quality

First day I’ve had the house to myself to really let the Titan 505 rip. I’ve also just changed the HiLine for a Chord Sarum Super Aray to great effect.

Happy bunny squonk.

My favorite Angus comment is when he was asked by some interviewer why all AC/DC songs “sound the same” - he pondered a moment and retorted, “Because we’re f***in’ AC/DC, mate!”
