Pe-release files of Samara’s new one. Even on first listen… WOW!

It’s out 11th October and must be a contender for album of the year – jazz or otherwise!

Ok it’s not their best but it is the last we saw of the great Lowell George which, for me at least, makes it essential and there are some real beauties on here. It’s more Feat than Time Loves A Hero in some respects, an album I like but critics tended to dismiss. Vinyl.

O Superman, as prep for the November show in Manchester. It’ll be a brand new programme though, but this should suffice to give her a taste. First reaction: “I guess I’ll have to get used to it”, lol…

On my 4th listen. An album full of wonderful, emotional songs. Seen him live a couple of times, small and large venues and he was superb in both. Can see some of these songs going down a storm live.

Anne Sophie Mutter & Wiener Philharmoniker under HVK doing The Four Seasons

So many versions of this including the wonderful Orpheus Chamber Orchestra with Gil Shaham, but this is still my favourite.
