Taylor Swift, the tortured poets department: an anthology. Omg, just sat through two hours of TS. Maybe I am officially a swifty now.
Ryan Adams - Heartbreaker - CD (2000)
Released 24 years ago today, ‘Heartbreaker’ was recorded over a two week period of sessions with Gillian Welch and David Rawlings.
Bought that album on the day of its release, everything about it, of course the voice, but the way the late Boz Burrell and Simon Kirke kick is mesmerising.
Miles Davis - Live Evil
I’ve been listening to a lot of Miles recently, mostly from the 65-68 box set, supplemented occasionally with the actual albums from the same period, but this post- Bitches Brew is so completely different. Although I love BB, I’ve not played this very often. Stupid really because it’s a really fine album.
A glorious rock album. Their best imo. Uniti Core.
Neighbours are away so I’m ignoring the decibel meter & pressing on with my favourite LZ. Uniti Core. I really should cut the grass.
Playing my way through these four.
Amarok The Storm, Hunt, Hero, Hope & Hunt Live, in that order.
Listened to The Storm already and am now halfway through Hunt. All on CD and on loan from @SimonDC.
Had to stop to cut the lawn before the weather got any worse🫤
I have been looking forward to this arriving. Postman delivered just now. King Crimson and Sheltering Skies. A double live album from Frejus 1982. I caught them on this tour. Wonderful.
On CD:
Joe Cocker - Across From Midnight
Laurie Anderson
Amelia
Bought the LP but not a good pressing: going back. Sounded fab, though.
Beautiful.
Bought the CD. Hope it sounds as good.
Freddie Mercury - Mr Bad Guy - CD (1985)
In Memory of Freddie (Farrokh Bulsara) who would have been 78 today 05/09/46
