What are you listening to in 2024 and why might anyone be interested?

Albino Tarantino, Latin Blues, they supported Alabama 3 last night.

First CD for ages that I’ve had to pop the details in the metadata.

1st run, it’s of course with Wayne in the center - but amazing that Ron Carter again addded a recording to his record number of recordings…

This was an absolutely wonderful performance of the highest quality. The link is to the Bachtrack review. You too can enjoy it on the BBC iPlayer.

Haven’t listened enough to this consistently commendable songwriter. I am poorer for it obviously. This album was especially striking as different. (Wonderful guitar …)

Joan Armatrading. Best of CD. Talented lady.

The “perfect” guitar solo on “Me Myself I” is, I think, by the late Hiram Bullock. I keep finding amazing playing by him.

Shawn Colvin - Cover Girl, on CD from c.1994. My first SC album and my ‘go to’ as a system tester, given I know many of the tracks so well.

Wonderful stuff IMHO.
