When I was growing up, my Dad frequently played his Sergio LP’s, and I immediately became aware of the high quality of them, including the Lennon + McCartney songs - apparently Paul wrote that the cover of Fool On The Hill was a favourite of his. 50+ years later I still find enjoyment in these recordings, with the fine arrangements and of course the exquisite vocals of Lani Hall, Karen Philipp / Gracinha Leporace.

Having a CD day. 1st up was U2’s oft maligned ‘Pop’. I like it and always have.

Now playing Zooropa.

I’ll have to catch up on I player later.

Decided to put it on now😊

Talking Heads, Little Creatures, 1985. And then Stop Making Sense, 1984.

They still sound fabulous to me.

Moving on smoothly with Elvis Costello and Burt Bacharach, ‘Painted from Memory’. Not a bad song on this set.
