Had to look up ‘scalar’ - magnitude without direction?
Interesting - I’ll look this album up.

Superb album @Cmax :ok_hand:t3:

Sorry, got off on the wrong vector there! Probably should have been scaler relating to musical scale. Ironically, the word scalar meaning magnitude without direction might be a good fit.

One of the very best from the cannon of Irish albums.

Thank You, it is a superb album and can be a tough one to listen too, I lost a very close friend a few weeks ago and grief affects us all in different ways, but something happened this afternoon and just hit me hard, so had to play this.

Sorry to hear that, Cmax.
Hope Nick’s music has helped.

They all look so young, except Christie who must have been born middle-aged.

Strangely I think of this as one of Van’s later albums and it is over 25 years old now!

Up there with his very best though.

It’s Ok @steviebee, I’m a big fan of Nick’s and had been listening to ‘Wild God’ earlier, while out walking, but ‘Skeleton Tree’ just hit the spot.

Anyway, back to seeing what others have been playing today, some great selections as always, keep em coming. :+1:

Not played this in a while, not sure why as it’s one of his better solo offerings IMHO

Kevin Figes Sextet You are Here Jazz Now CD. Tribute to Keith Tippett & his contemporary composers. Some fantastic music - see the set list below as well as loadsa great Tippett pieces those by Elton Dean & Dudu Pukwana are tremendous.

This will get expensive - already ordered an Elton Dean’s Ninesense Ogun CD from Bandcamp.

It’s interesting, think it will take a few more plays to decide, found myself drifting off as was busy at the time.
