Robin Trower. CD compilation. Saw him live in about 1980, jeez it was loud.
The Stranglers - La Folie. I remember buying this but the LP is now poor quality so it’s over to qobuz for listening.
Just finishing…
Odessa - Odessa
A mention above from @JimDog had me place one of Odessa albums into the queue and now taking out for a spin. First time listen of the artist of this 2015 release and the music is sounding mighty sweet!
I’ve been listening to David Gilmour’s latest album quite a lot since Friday. It inspired me to dig this wonderfully recorded Live in Gdańsk out. Brilliant playing throughout
Donal was proposed by an existing member and accepted his nomination. Membership is limited to 250 artists, from the visual arts, literature and music. Wikipedia describes the selection process. I don’t think ‘music’ is simply Irish traditional music here either, though I’ve not looked at the membership. [I see Wikipedia has a list. Tommy Peoples sadly deceased was a member, but I’d say there aren’t many popular folk musicians. There are contemporary classical composers. To be honest there are many opportunities for talented traditional and popular musicians.]
The fabulous Scott Walker ‘Scott 4’. Not a great commercial success (I understand) but a belter. Qobuz 24/96.

Streaming on Qobuz (96/24)… a mention from @Buster above had me place this in the queue and now taking this September 2008 release out for a spin… it will keep me occupied for the then two hours and thirty minutes… Yahoo… Life is sweet and so is the music!
Classic album for me from James Lavelle and his band. First time listening on my Naim system and it sounds amazing.
UK first press (with free mini-album) from 1985 of this phenomenal – and much-underrated – 4AD album. One of Vaughn Oliver’s best sleeves too.
One of Yello’s best imo. Superb SQ. Vinyl.
Listening to this hoary old classic which sounds great via qobuz just now. I could make an argument for Preztel Logic being their best album
Barrytown makes me smile because its the name of Barry’s band in Hi Fidelity (book not film)
Jamie xx spinning on the P8
It’s been a while since I’ve played some records and now I see that I’ve missed it!
(Sorry for the lousy iphone picture)
Dvorák: Symphonies,Tone Poems, Requiem - London Symphony Orchestra, István Kertész - Symphony No.2
A bit of a Dvorak shootout. I have to say I prefer this recording…. Bags of energy and detail in the recording!
