Very different to The Smile and Thom’s own solo albums, which are all excellent in my view, this is Ed O’Brien’s often startlingly good debut LP.

A friend was recommending Black Midi to me. Certainly different!!
Enthralling. Uniti Core.
Yes I have the 3 Black Midi albums. Interesting for sure. I particularly liked Hellfire.
I got told we couldn’t play Death On Two Legs on hospital radio!
k.d. Lang - 2004 - Hymns of the 49th Parallel - Label - Nonesuch - Vinyl.
This is the ninth studio album from k.d.
This album is simply beautiful. A big thank you to whoever posted it earlier and reminding me to play it epitomizes what this thread does best.
Agree, it is excellent. I was using it yesterday to set up a change around with the rooms we use more in winter.
In light of just receiving announcement of her Oz tour in ‘25, I just put this on…Haven’t listened to the Demos before – bloody brilliant so far….

Joni Mitchell - Shadows and Light
I adore this album! I have the original double vinyl, the original double CD and am here playing the latest Bernie Grundman remaster from the Asylum Albums 76-80 box set. The new version just has so much more space and depth. For me this album is perfect.
