Yes, Jonathan worked/collaborated with Hirst. There’s not a lot of info on the album or on the duo for that matter. I like this particular album.

Yusef Lateef | Eastern Sounds

His first albums in the 1950s were considered ahead of their time, and even though he was bringing a new dimension to the music, his tunes always continued to appeal to wider audiences, thanks largely to his deep affection for the blues. All these elements were on display in 1961 when Lateef recorded the now iconic LP Eastern Sounds . This album is cinematic, searching and at times introspective - offering a grand look into the mind of one of jazz’s most intrepid souls.
