What are you listening to in 2024 and why might anyone be interested?

The Rolling Stones - A Bigger Bang, like the previous couple of albums, a tad too long, but that’s what the programme function is for.

It reminds me of going to St.George’s Hall, Bradford to see Ozzy on this tour. One of my first gigs.

Another great comp, and continuing the Latin vibe.

Oh my, how have I have not played this in a long time. An amazing album. Mr Disco is possibly my favourite New Order track. I have to play this tomorrow, thanks for the reminder

Stones - Hackney Diamonds

I’m playing the vinyl album for my partner for the first time. As I carefully removed it from the inner sleeve she asked, “Did you get a nice poster for your bedroom?”

Santana - Marathon, whilst this slips into AOR territory, taken in isolation, it’s a decent listen.

I saw him at Brighton Dome also on his first solo tour.
I was 15 at the time and didnt know to much about Ozzy.
We where right at the very front and always remember the house lights going down and O Fortuna from Carmina Burana belting out of the PA and the band and Ozzy taking the stage after a couple of minutes.
I remember Ozzy was in a white leather jacket with tassles and looking back at the crowd there was a sea of V signs directed at Ozzy…I have never seen such reverance.
Ozzy then said Brighton I want to see this place go fuc@ing wild… and
Randy Rhodes started the riff to Crazy Train …the PA was really loud .
Great gig and I totally got why metal fans love Ozzy
Hes got such charisma and a slight vulnerability about him
Some people in bands just have this charisma and it really shines .
